Ben Caesar is the owner of Fiddlehead Nursery in Kimberley, Ontario, which he has operated since 2012. Ben was introduced to permaculture and forest gardening through a friend in Guelph, where he filled his small urban yard with edible perennials before moving to the Beaver Valley in the spring of 2011. Permaculture and food forest gardening is one of the best ways to sequester carbon in the soil while growing food for ourselves! Good for you and good for the earth!
Fiddlehead Nursery grows edible perennials, shrubs and trees and sells plants that survive our Grey County winters, unless otherwise noted.
Fiddlehead Nursery uses only natural ingredients in their soil mixes and fertilizers. Ben does not use pesticides, fungicides or herbicides on his farm, uses compost and nitrogen-fixing plants, and uses mulch or perennial groundcovers for low-maintenance gardens.
Ben also runs Edible Ecosystem Workshops at Fiddlehead Nursery where you can learn how to grow and eat the bounty from these edible perennials, shrubs and trees.

Over 10 years ago, Boars Rock Farm, located in Grey County started growing an few heads of organic hard necked garlic called music for ourselves. Now we grow over an acre of the same great tasting garlic to share with our community, friends and loyal customers. Over the past couple of years on the side I have started making a wide range of garlic products from our home-grown garlic, such as garlic powder. When selling my products I would always get the same question, "what is added to the powders that make them so good", and my reply is always "nothing but pure music." Growing the garlic in a regenerative and sustainable manner as well as being certified organic is very important to us. We know that people want to know where their food comes from, because we are the same.
